Deborah Kaufmann was born on the 23 march 1970 in Kleinmachnow, Germany. She is the daughter of actress Angela Brunner and writer Walter Kaufmann. As a baby she plays alongside her mother in the movie " Der Mann, der nach der Oma kam". From 1986 to 1990 she attended an acting school "der Schauspielschule Ernst Busch in Ost-Berlin."She has an older sister, Rebekka Kaufmann who became a photographer.
